This is by no means a foolproof bearnaise sauce recipe. It should include the following instructions: \”Whisk the reduced liquid, eggs and salt for several minutes until the sauce starts to thicken … AND ONLY THEN start adding the cubes of butter one at a time. Otherwise it doesn\’t thicken up at all. You end up with a bowl of melted butter that tastes OK but it would be too embarrassing to give to your guests....

Terrible. A total waste of lovely ingredients. It was sweet, sour and fishy. Not a good combination of flavours. Would not make again. See more
Absolutely delish. Served as main without dressing. The mixture/ marinade stood very well to give a great alternative to meat See more
Am also not convinced by the recipe with 75g of flour and similarly found it a bit of a waste of time! The amount of flour seems far too small to make a biscuity base particularly with all the other wet ingredients, so you get a sort of runny butter icing instead of a dough. We had to add a lot more flour to the mix to salvage it but by that point we could no longer make the base as intended so just ended up with some other sort of cake....

This is a great recipe, really delicious. I made a few small tweaks (no almond essence, double the vanilla in both the batter and the frosting because I\’m a vanilla freak) and a big one: only 200g of icing sugar in the icing. I\’ve made it this way twice and I\’m really happy with the results. The icing (for me at least) is perfect with just 200g of icing sugar: very creamy and spreadable, perfectly sweet but not overly so....
Hi Nadiya! I really cannot wait to try this recipe. I love a good dessert! Is there perhaps a vegan substitute for the cobbles? My one year old son is allergic to eggs. Was thinking that I could make two – one with the cobbles and one without. Please let me know. See more

I totally disagree with the reviewer below – this curry is an excellent example of a Thai yellow curry – light, creamy and complex. The asparagus is also nice and crisp which I really appreciated. Also don’t skip the relish! It’s so delicious. See more
