I\’m in my mid 30\’s and been making these since I could talk, family friendly and ingredients and measurements are so easy to remember. I sometimes adapt them and make them with cinnamon and press into gingerbread men shapes for Christmas and they are a hit with all family members – young and old. I also have added vanilla, nuts, chocolate and cocoa powder before and so many other things as like I said this recipe had been around for years, back when it was in Mary Berry\’s cooking book that was on our shelf growing up. Great nostalgic memories with these.
