As the nights draw in, there’s nothing more comforting than a piping hot crumble. Easy to prepare, crumbles are the perfect dessert to throw together with whatever fruits you happen to have to hand, from apples and pears to plums and rhubarb. All you need is a few store cupboard staples to transform your fruit bowl into a satisfyingly indulgent pudding. Here, we’ve gathered together a few of our favourite crumble recipes, each with it’s own unique twist.
Apple and Custard Crumble
With sweet custard baked right into the crumble itself, this recipe from The Great British Bake Off: Winter Kitchen makes for a truly indulgent after dinner treat.
