Had never heard of this sort of thing before, but we never had this sort of fruit till it turned up in supermarkets. So I made it for a small function, and the crowd went wild as the say … Then I just made one for my walking group xmas get-together, with a twist. I made an orange pound cake to use instead of bread, after straining the berry mixture I reduced it, and after cooling I added 50ml of cointreau. I followed the rest of method, though with no extra berries or syrup. I sliced, plated, drizzled with some hershey\’s from the bottle (sorry, I feel guilty), a scatter chopped mint leaves and a dusting of icing sugar. The booze hounds loved it lol.
